Portfolio of RainbowComm Websites

Below are a selection of in-house projects, which include design, development and marketing (SEO/SEM). Since the mid-1990's I have developed numerous other sites, but these are sites which I still own and operate.
Queer Gay and Lesbian Portal

QueerSeek.com

  • Launched in 2000 as QueerSeek.com.
  • Re-branded briefly as BQueer.com in 2008
  • 16,000 visitors/month - 75% from organic search
  • Lists over 4650 sites in 460 categories
  • Information on submitting your site can be found here
  • The Gay Metro - Gay Men's Guide to the Internet

    TheGayMetro.com

just launched as a Male-Focused mirror of QueerSeek. It's starting from 0 traffic and no search engine presence (Jan 3, 2010) I'll report in my blog as marketing takes hold and traffic develops.

    ForSaleInCanada Canadian Business Directory

    ForSaleInCanada.com

(Launched 2/21/2002 ) Since purchasing this domain back in 2002 it has been a Canadian Real Estate Directory, a Canadian Classified Ads site, and now over the last few years it has developed in to an established and much used Business Directory - which also offers an online store selling in Canadian Currency and powered by Amazon.ca. The is powered by the same core software powering QueerSeek, VancouverCoast & TheGayMetro

Vancouver Coast Region Portal and Blog

    VancouverCoast.com

(Launched 11/2007) A tourist resource directory for the Vancouver Coast Region of British Columbia, including Vancouver Island. With the Olympics coming in 2010 I decided to try and fill a hole left by Intrawest's sale of Vancouver.com, which seems to contain only advertising now.

    ForSaleInCanada Online Shopping Mall

    Pet Online Shopping Mall

    Online Shopping Sites:

  • ForSaleInCanada.com - Canadian Online Shopping Site
  • EShopForPets.com - Online store with everything for your pet
  • ShowMeLinks.com - General shopping site (USA)
  • CoolPHPscripts.com - Focused on programming books and computers
  • These 4 sites are online shopping malls powered by Amazon.com (or Amazon.ca). QueerSeek also features a similar Amazon-powered store.

Home Made Dog Treats and Pet Food

    HomeDogtreats.com

(Launched 04/2008) Marketing a recipe and nutritional e-book package for dog owners. I designed and produced the site in under a day using images from iStockPhoto and basic HTML and CSS. The site is highly optimized and performing well in the major Search Engines. A a dog lover, this was a fun site to put together!
Since the early-90's I have developed, marketed and sold over 50 other sites, and have worked on hundreds of client sites over the years. That doesn't count the numerous clients I managed in my role at Snaptech Marketing Group. Most of my other old sites have either been highly modified or shut-down by the current owners, or I shut them down myself as the industry changed and new opportunities came along.
