What’s Included in my WordPress Website Package?

Install and Configure Latest Version of WordPress Software from WordPress.org

• Create a new hosting account and install the latest version of WordPress
• Assist client in selecting a base template from the pre-designed themes we offer
• Provide up to 3 hours of customization of that template – limited to colours, logo and widget layout. Coding changes are not included.
• Install and configure up to 3 plug-ins – in addition to plug-ins we install for SEO & our use
• Assist client in sourcing and acquiring up to 4 licensed images (if required) from iStockPhoto.
• Create up to 20 static pages and up to 4 initial blog categories with customized navigation
• Assist client (if required) with new domain name registration or redirection of existing domain
• Provide up to 1 hour of free technical support (via email) per month (on-going)

Import Client-Supplied Page Content

• Copy page content from existing site, or as provide by client in Word or Plain Text format, up to 20 pages. This included transfer of any existing related images to new website
• Proof content and review it for search engine optimization (SEO) readiness
• Ensure each page is fully optimized with unique titles and meta-tags
• Ensure site navigation is properly configured for optimal visitor usability
• Install and configure a contact form plug-in sending to client’s email address

Google Analtyics Set-up

• Create a new Google Analytics Account (if required) and install tracking code
• Set-up filters to ignore internal visits and create up to 2 goals  

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

• Help client identify the most effective keywords to target
• Produce and submit XML sitemaps to Google, Bing and Ask.com.
• Submit site to general and local web directories. A list of submissions will be provided
• Create company profiles on Alexa.com and AboutUs.org
• Review all site content and make recommendations for additional content (blog articles, etc.)
• Create a Press Release announcing launch of new website and syndicate through PR.com

Follow-up Monthly Optimization: (for a minimum of 4 months following initial optimization – billed monthly)

• Provide a monthly summary report on successes, areas of concern and recommendations for improvement, including traffic changes, search engine visibility, keywords and current rankings
• Monitor functionality of WordPress and apply any security updates of core software or plug-ins which may be released through WordPress.org
• Each month your XML sitemap will be resubmitted to 3 major search engines and submissions to directories will be verified to ensure they are active. Further relevant submissions may be made each month to additional directories
• Each month I am available for up to a one-hour phone consultation regarding the results of the monthly reports, concerns, areas for continued improvement, and any other analytics or SEO-related matters. Additional time needed may be billed at an hour rate of $110/hour

Possible Addition Costs (optional)

• Addition image sourcing is $25 each for 3-5 credit images and $40 per 10 credit image
• Vector graphics will be charged based on credits required + a sourcing/editing fee
• Custom logo design and creation starts at $350 – will be quoted separately
• Customization which requires code changes will be billed separately at a rate of $85/hour
• Technical support beyond the monthly first hour may be billed at $85/hour, or $120 per incident
